Janice F. Rogers, 39, of 3422 Oak Drive, Alton, died at 12:12 a.m., Sept. 11, 1981 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was retired from Alton Home Improvement where she worked for seven years.
Born in Carlinville, Jan. 17, 1942, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Flackus.
She married William L. Rogers on Oct. 30, 1964, in Godfrey.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Dawn and Dana, both at home; her father, Delmar and stepmother, Carrie Flackus of Roxana, a stepbrother, Van Allen Flackus of St. Louis; and a stepsister, Lynn Ash of Roxana. Her mother died earlier.
Visitation and services were held at Smith Funeral Home in Alton,
Burial was in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens, Bethalto

Janice died very young.......9-11-81....We had a few classes together. She lived behind my grandparents in Milton area. So sad !!Roger Cooke
She did indeed, Nancy. I dated her when we were at East Junior High School and in the marching band. I was in England in 1981 when my mother sent me the news that she had died. She was the first girl I ever went on an actual date with as a teenager. She should have had more life than she got. She had a wonderfully cheerful personality.
